Mi casa
My love for film music started at a very early age.
One of my first memories is standing in front of a big screen TV in
Sam's Club watching a clip from Days Of Thunder and just being blown
away by the music. After that came the score to Independence Day. For
some reason the main theme stuck with me, and was in fact the first
thing that I figured out on the piano. Then I started looking at film
music in a different way--not only as catchy melodies but as a way of
explaining images without speech. It really is one of the purest of art
forms and one from which I am always a student of. I have been playing
music since about four years old and started writing before I could
actually read musical notation (which I still have difficulty with).
When I was around nine or ten a friend of mine played a song I had
showed her in her piano recital. So I guess you could say since then I
was a composer. I started with a basic keyboard and a Cakewalk
sequencer. My first experiences writing with multiple instruments was
horrible. I once wrote a song that dragged on for fifteen minutes and I
made my poor mom sit through it. But after years of playing around in
my room and constantly listening to scores from other composers I
finally decided to start doing it for real. The first thing I wrote to
a picture was a short opening cue for my High Schools morning news show
(from which I was music director of anyways). From there I did a few
short films from which I just gave them a CD and they took what ever
music they wanted (to this day I have never heard from that "director"
so I do not even know what the movie was called or if I even got
credit). Then I moved on to commercial projects and other films both
feature and short length. I have also worked with bands on intros and
arrangements for their songs.

If you ever want me to work on your film project just
shoot me an email or leave me a message. This is a blast for me to do
so most of the time no project is too small. I love working with both
first time and seasoned
directors.
You know where to find me. ds
By the way, I hope you like all my snazzy page titles, I sound jazzy.
